Advance Payments
For many projects, TechInArticle may require an advance payment before starting the work.
The advance payment may be used to allocate team resources, begin project planning, purchase required resources, configure services, initiate development or start creative work.
Once the project has been initiated and work has started, the advance payment is generally non-refundable because resources and work may already have been allocated to the project.
The exact payment structure may vary depending on the project, scope and agreement made with the client before commencement.
Project Cancellation
A client may request cancellation of a project by contacting TechInArticle as soon as possible.
If work has already started, cancellation does not automatically create a right to a refund. The amount already spent on completed work, resources or third-party services may be considered when determining any applicable refund.
Before Work Starts
If a cancellation request is received before meaningful project work has started, TechInArticle may review the request and determine whether any refund is applicable.
After Work Starts
Once development, design, marketing, configuration, research or other project work has started, the payment may become non-refundable to the extent permitted by the applicable agreement and law.
When a Refund May Be Considered
Refunds are not automatic. However, TechInArticle may review refund requests in situations such as:
- Duplicate payment made by mistake
- Payment received in excess of the agreed amount
- A refund specifically agreed upon in writing before or during the project
- Exceptional circumstances reviewed and approved by TechInArticle
Any approved refund will generally be calculated after considering work already completed, applicable deductions and non-recoverable costs.
Payments That May Not Be Refundable
The following costs may generally be non-refundable once purchased, activated or incurred on behalf of the client:
- Domain registration or renewal charges
- Hosting or server charges
- Paid plugins, themes or software
- Third-party subscriptions
- Advertising or campaign expenditure
- Third-party development or service costs
- Completed design or development work
- Customized digital assets already created
Where TechInArticle has already paid a third party on behalf of the client, the amount may not be refundable if that third-party provider does not provide a refund.

Such costs may be deducted from any approved refund where they cannot be recovered from the relevant provider.
